"In a world where destiny takes unexpected turns, a young hero rises to the challenge.
Our team collaborated closely, combining the skills of our animation, lighting, and compositing departments. It required extensive visual effects, as the story unfolded in a dynamic and action-packed world.

We had the opportunity to be the vendor in charge of bringing the hero character, Blue Beetle, to life. One of the most intricate FX setups we developed involved the black matter crawling onto him, eventually morphing into his suit.
The cityscape which served as a backdrop for an epic fight scene at the base of the towering Kord building, an architectural marvel in Palmera City, was used to populate the background.

Our work also extended to tackling one of the most demanding villain transformations. Through a fusion of animation and VFX techniques, we created a metamorphosis that’s not only convincing but also plausible from a physical standpoint.
The fight scene stood above the rest as both hero characters, Blue Beetle and Carapax, were fully replaced with our CG assets throughout, to heighten the intensity and spectacle of this heroic battle.

VFX took center stage for the majority of shots, serving various purposes such as inserting background buildings, refining the set, and skillfully compositing with green screens. We poured tremendous effort into crafting lifelike destruction, often replacing live action cars and other elements on set with CG to intensify the action and add a heightened sense of drama.

From there, our FX team took over, adding energy blasts, lighting and debris to turn this scene into a memorable one.
A major challenge we encountered was integrating the CG characters to the live-action footage, necessitating a considerable amount of cleanup work on the live action plates. In some instances, we had to resort to digitally replacing entire shots.
Our artists roto-scopped the buildings and characters, employing advanced compositing techniques to flawlessly merge together CG assets and elements from the original plate.

In the end, our team worked on 44 assets, including 19 FX Setups, two hero characters, and their digidoubles, eight vehicles, one main environment, and one main building."
