Land Of Bad
Cutting Edge
For "Land Of Bad", directed by William Eubank, Cutting Edge worked on 32 shots across 3 key sequences, including the climactic B1 Bomber run in the final act. Under the VFX supervision of Damien Thaller and Andrew Strouthos as VFX producer the work featured a CG animated jet with engine burners, atmosphere FX and augmented background plates. The scene presented technical challenges, with the CG jet requiring a top speed of 1500km/h over helicopter plates that were shot much slower at around 280km/h for the environments. These plates were then heavily augmented and rebuilt to facilitate the desired speeds and camera framing. Some plates were recreated and mapped as a latLong in compositing so we had a much greater control with a CG camera.
