Spinifex created the immersive projection-mapped content for the global reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at COD NEXT, transforming Las Vegas’ AREA15 into a multi-room live experience that brought the game’s worlds and features into physical space.

Designed to introduce the latest Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone Resurgence experiences to both live audiences and global broadcast viewers, the activation spanned three unique environments, each featuring complex projection surfaces and bespoke visual storytelling tailored to key locations, gameplay mechanics and thematic elements from the new title.

Working closely with Activision, Spinifex developed a series of high-end cinematic environments, including original 3D character work, custom world-building and large-scale immersive motion content designed specifically for the architecture and spatial conditions of each room. The content extended beyond traditional presentation media, enveloping streamers, players and audiences within the visual language of Black Ops 7 while maintaining clarity for live broadcast capture.
A key component of the experience was the integration of a live projection and XR host stage, which served as the central broadcast hub for the event. Designed to seamlessly blend physical presenters with immersive digital environments, the stage allowed hosts to transition naturally between game reveals, interviews and gameplay segments while remaining fully embedded within the visual language of Black Ops 7.

Given the event's live broadcast format, flexibility and continuity were critical. The content system was designed as a dynamic broadcast environment rather than a linear show sequence, allowing individual rooms and experiences to transition between multiple visual states at any moment.

With an audience deeply familiar with the franchise and high expectations surrounding the annual reveal, the project focused on delivering a launch experience that felt larger in scale, more atmospheric and more immersive than previous years. The result was a visually dense and technically ambitious event that successfully merged environmental storytelling, projection design and live gaming spectacle.
