Following the gut-churning body horror of Men, Framestore teamed up with director Alex Garland once more for his latest thought-provoking feature - A24’s Civil War. Production VFX Supervisor David Simpson reunited with Garland to build a digital version of Washington DC for the edge of your seat third act, recreating buildings and landmarks to remarkable scale. As the camera pans CG office buildings, Simpson and team added subtle nuances of realism - different lighting on each floor, personal items on the desks. The CG city route was created and mapped the to the real life streets of Washington.
