LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition
Eye Candy
LEGO Star Wars: The Exhibition is a major touring experience now showing at Melbourne Museum, combining the nostalgia of LEGO with the cinematic universe of Star Wars. Eye Candy was engaged to deliver a suite of high-impact interactive and animated experiences as part of the exhibition’s core visitor offering.
1. Entry Experience
A CGI cinematic journey that draws visitors into the world of Star Wars in LEGO form — from hyperspace travel and Imperial pursuit to a dramatic descent down through the clouds above LEGO Mos Espa, landing at a remote outpost.
2. LEGO Dogfight
Visitors build their own starships and launch them into into the experience via one of the greenscreen hangars. The system captures each model and launches them into a dynamic Rebel vs. Imperial dogfight, showcasing the visitors custom creations mid-battle.
3.Millennium Falcon Cockpit
Housed in a full sized LEGO Millennium Falcon cockpit, visitors must correctly activate the ship’s launch sequence via a series of buttons and levers. Incorrect attempts play the iconic engine failure sounds, success is rewarded with a short trip through hyperspace!
4. Mosaic Management Platform
Visitors complete small 6x6 tiles using LEGO blocks, contributing to a large-scale image using guided digital instructions. The system tracks progress and maintains build accuracy across 12 visitor stations.
5. Lightsaber Battle
Visitors construct their own LEGO lightsaber hilts, and watch the glowing blade emerge onscreen as it seamlessly tracks their motion. The blade can be colour-customised before filming their action, or capturing a branded exhibition photo.
