A celebration of Australian interior design featuring beautiful hand-drawn wallpaper and fabrics projected onto the façade of Customs House – bringing the inside, out! Pulling from the Australian Museum of Design’s expansive collection of more than 7,500 works from the '60s, '70s and '80s, Inside Out is an animated journey through three decades of Australian décor and style, brought to life by Sydney creative studio Spinifex Group.
Gain a new appreciation of the artistry of Florence Broadhurst, Australia’s leading designer of wallpaper and fabrics, and many more ground-breaking designers. Projected onto a giant canvas like never before, no detail or layer is lost. Focusing on a through-line of designs incorporating nature over the years, Inside Out is a stunning mix of florals, birdlife and the bold colours and patterns of the post-World War II era.
