Monkeystack were commissioned by BAE Systems Australia to produce a photo-realistic animated visualisation of their latest product, the ‘STRIX’, to premiere at the 2023 Avalon Airshow in Geelong, Australia.
BAE Systems Australia wanted the grand reveal of the STRIX to be a main talking point of the annual Airshow, creating a buzz in anticipation of the launch and to have attendees keeping an eye on their watches to ensure they did not miss this moment.
The visualisation is used as a sales tool ahead of manufacturing to showcase the STRIX in detail, allowing the audience to get up close and personal without the need to physically transport the 1:1 model for a physical showcase.
Due to the animation being produced as a pre-manufactured asset, our animation was produced from reference materials such as simple concept and mock-up design graphics and descriptions.
Our animated, photo-realistic visualisations of the pre-manufactured STRIX played on screens to the Avalon audience as a 1:1 scale model was unveiled for the first time.
The reveal video demands viewer’s attention from the get-go, with a distorted electric guitar and bass-heavy soundtrack and blueprint style drawings before the STRIX is revealed in a 3D animated visualisation. The visualisation teases with close-up angles and silhouetted shots of the STRIX situated in a spot-lit hanger-style space, before the pay-off shots panning across shots of the entire model.
The video displayed on a loop alongside the model throughout the event, and features across BAE
Systems Australia’s collateral which has been shared to a worldwide audience.
The reveal was a showstopping highlight that created intrigue, excitement and a lasting impression for attendees from industry, government and defence at the first Avalon Airshow since 2019.
