Act V of the Exhibition Thierry Mugler: Couturissime
CATEGORY: Titles/Openers - TV
Rodeo FX
Presented in Montreal for the world premiere, this spectacular retrospective brings together more than 150 ensembles and never-before-seen accessories, stage costumes, archival documents, sketches and more.
To showcase these special pieces, the team of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts approached us to create the backdrop for a dynamic and fluid setting.
The team represented nature, fauna and flora in four immersive spaces that feature a forest, jungle, seabed, and an African savanna under a starry night. Simultaneously realistic and magical, the installation echoes the ensembles of the exhibition’s Metamorphosis room, with Mugler’s incredible outfits magnificently highlighted by the environments.
Working closely with MBAM creators, scenographers, designers and technicians, Rodeo FX artists created the environments in 2D, and used 3D simulations to deliver 2-minute loops for each wall, creating a stage worthy of this collection.
